I started out as a dispatcher, something I really enjoy doing, and later decided to venture into freight brokering. The idea of becoming a Freight broker came about during the pandemic and everything that came with it. As the nation emerged from pandemic lockdowns, the trucking industry faced a persistent problem…a shortage of truckers. However, that wasn’t a problem for me, because with my experience as a dispatcher, I already had several colleagues who were truck drivers, eager to get back on the road.

I saw an ad for a freight broker course and, encouraged by my colleagues, made the decision to take a chance and step out on faith. I signed up for the course, completed it and in June of 2022, I received a Master Broker ® Certification and later started my own business in Freight Brokering.
